Amoris laetitia (The Joy of Love) is Pope Francis’ post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation on love in the family. This Apostolic Exhortation, released in 2016, was the conclusion of a two-year synod process discussing “the vocation and mission of the family in the Church and the modern world.” 

The exhortation covers a wide range of topics related to marriage and family life as well as challenges faced by families throughout the world.
